The real problem with the TikTok ban
Socialists can criticize this without questioning the state's sovereignty over the market.
The Supreme Court has signed off on a law that will likely end in the US ban of social media platform TikTok. This is not only an annoying outcome for people who like me who use TikTok — it’s also politically sinister, expressing profoundly reactionary currents of American life and setting all kinds of dangerous precedents. Before we get into that, however, I’d like to just list out some of the questions at stake, along with my answers:
