Notes on Hersh and the Nord Stream bombing
There's a simple question Congress can ask to find out the truth.
Seymour Hersh has published an article alleging that the US is responsible for the Nord Stream bombing. As usual, instead of pushing out a rapid response take on this, I decided to take the weekend to digest it; it is, once again, a practice that I wish more pundits were willing to follow with Ukraine. Unfortunately, I am also going to have to buck the trend of either insisting that he’s an unreliable narrator or insisting that we should believe him since he’s earned our trust; the standard critical thinking “let’s take what he says seriously and see if it can be verified” position may not win a lot of friends among partisans in this war, but it remains the only sane thing to do.
